Titanfall 2 DLC Trailers

  • Role: Editor and Motion Designer
  • Client: Respawn
  • Production Company: EA Mediaworks

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to post any of my work up but here is the collection of Titanfall 2 Trailers I edited for Respawn and EA in 2017. They have been a lot of fun to work on and are very different to what I have done in the past.
Titanfall 2 is one of the first games out there to have all free DLC’s (downloadable content) to expand the life of the game after it’s release. These were a massive hit with the passionate community which helped bring in a lot of first time players along some returning to the franchise.
The community was a huge inspiration for the trailers, and the DLC’s themselves, and I feel Respawn and EA really tried to give them what they wanted from the game. It’s great to see how a game can develop with the players input to create something everyone is passionate and proud to be a part of.

Each trailer was showcasing what was available in the next DLC and we did our best to keep each of them fresh by creative new narratives for each. I worked closely with Drew Stauffer from Dice who was Design Director across all of the Titanfall 2 trailers and the capture team at Dark Burn Creative headed up by brothers Tanner and Chase Boyajian. The team at Dark Burn Creative did an amazing job at capturing the footage and choreographing each shot to the finest of details. It still impresses me what the guys can do after playing the game myself.
I can see just how hard it is to do the sequences they pull off. We had music composed by the very talented Danny Cocke and Stephen Barton for each piece and the SFX and voiceover passes were mixed and mastered by Erik Kraber at Respawn.

I would like to thank everyone for their great (and sometimes hilarious) comments on the videos. We read them all and I’m glad we could keep you all excited, wanting to come back for more!
We hope you have enjoyed the trailers (and content) and I look forward to one day working with this amazing team again!
